Ceramic Coating FAQ

What ceramic coating do you use?

We use a professional-grade Graphene Ceramic Coating system designed to enhance gloss, provide excellent water repellency, and protect your vehicle's paintwork from environmental contamination.

How long does ceramic coating last?

The lifespan of a ceramic coating depends on vehicle usage, storage conditions, washing habits, and ongoing maintenance. With proper care, our coating system can provide years of protection and performance.

Does ceramic coating prevent scratches?

No. Ceramic coating helps reduce minor wash-induced marring and makes cleaning easier, but it is not scratch-proof. For maximum protection against stone chips and physical damage, Paint Protection Film (PPF) is recommended.

Will ceramic coating make my car easier to clean?

Yes. Ceramic coating creates a hydrophobic surface that helps repel water, dirt, road grime, and other contaminants, making regular washing much easier.

Does ceramic coating stop bird droppings and tree sap from damaging paint?

Ceramic coating provides an additional protective layer and can reduce the risk of staining. However, bird droppings, tree sap, and other contaminants should still be removed as soon as possible.

Is paint correction included?

Yes. Every ceramic coating package includes paint preparation. Depending on the vehicle's condition, this may include machine polishing and paint correction before the coating is applied.

How long do I need to leave my vehicle with you?

Most ceramic coating jobs require approximately 3 days to complete, allowing sufficient time for preparation, application, and curing.

Can a brand-new vehicle benefit from ceramic coating?

Absolutely. New vehicles often arrive with transport marks, light swirls, and contamination. Applying ceramic coating early helps protect the paint from day one.

Do I need annual maintenance?

Not necessarily. Maintenance requirements vary depending on how the vehicle is used and maintained. Customers who regularly hand wash their vehicles and apply a ceramic maintenance product every few washes often experience excellent long-term coating performance. We do, however, recommend periodic inspections to assess the coating's condition and provide maintenance advice where required.

How should I wash my ceramic-coated vehicle?

We recommend hand washing using a pH-neutral shampoo and quality microfibre wash mitts. Avoid automatic brush car washes whenever possible, as they can introduce swirl marks. Regular maintenance washing will help preserve the coating's appearance and performance.

Should I use a ceramic booster or wet ceramic product?

Yes. Applying a quality ceramic maintenance product every few washes can help maintain gloss, slickness, and hydrophobic performance over time.

Can ceramic coating be applied to wheels?

Yes. Wheel coating is available as an optional add-on to help reduce brake dust build-up and make wheels easier to clean.

Can ceramic coating be applied to glass?

Yes. Glass coating is available as an optional add-on to improve water repellency and visibility during wet weather.

Is glass polishing included before glass coating?

Basic glass preparation is included. Additional machine polishing may be recommended for heavily contaminated or marked glass and may incur an additional charge.

Does wheel coating include the inner barrels and calipers?

Our standard wheel coating covers the wheel faces and accessible areas. A wheels-off service covering inner barrels and calipers can be arranged at an additional cost.

Does ceramic coating replace waxing?

Yes. Ceramic coating provides significantly longer-lasting protection than traditional waxes, although maintenance products can still be used to enhance performance.

Can ceramic coating be applied to matte paint?

Yes. We can apply suitable coating products to matte and satin finishes without altering their

appearance.

Can I use automatic car washes?

No. We recommend hand washing only. Automatic car washes can damage your paintwork, and touchless washes often use strong chemicals that may affect the long-term performance of the coating.
